The thyssenkrupp Presta Group is a technology leader in the field of steering systems, and a major innovative partner of the auto industry. At its Budapest competence center, they have been developing electronic steering systems for passenger cars since 1999, and they act as the sole electronic and software development competence center within the entire corporate group. Since 2015, IncQuery Labs has been successfully collaborating with thyssenkrupp Presta Hungary (TKP) on various software development and AUTOSAR modeling intensive projects.

One key aspect of our cooperation is to further the AUTOSAR based software development and hardware configuration environment within TKP to strengthen their competitive advantage both in automotive software development and certification. To achieve these goals, IncQuery Labs has provided its expertise on custom tool development and technology transfer of open-source results to the automotive domain.

Working in close collaboration with TKP engineers, we have developed a new iteration of their integrated development environment that provides a systematic domain modeling approach allowing seamless integration of high (HLD) and low-level (CDD) design artifacts that actuate the sophisticated code, configuration and test generators. This integrated approach allows the engineers to better focus on their design decisions as complete well-formedness analysis are continuously executed on all the underlying design artifacts, resulting in faster error detection and localization that ultimately leads to faster product delivery.

In parallel to our development collaboration, IncQuery Labs has also provided expert consultation on scalability and runtime performance optimization of Eclipse based tools along with the effective application of our VIATRA model querying technology. As a result, the new version of the environment has significantly better memory consumption with an extended set of validation rules.
